Palm thatch umbrellas are the traditional Florida tiki hut you see at all of the tropical themed resorts.
Natural Palm Thatch Umbrellas
Custom built using heavy duty, all round pressure treated wood. This make for a lifetime frame. The thatching is Sabal palm thatching, cut from the deep Florida woods where the trees are trimmed of the outer leaves, giving you the most authentic, high quality palm roof.
These are permanent huts. The center pole is a large 6″ poles that is buried into the ground for stability. The leaves are sized, strategically folded and nailed in rows to create a thick waterproof roof. High winds will flow through the open frame and leaves creating no uplift. Unlike canvas market umbrellas that will tear apart in high winds. That is why this is a great choice if you live in an area where you have high winds, rain or snow.
This type of umbrella comes with a 40″ table. The table is good for seating up to 6 people under the 10ft palm thatch umbrella.
There is little to no maintenance for the natural palm thatch umbrellas. The sabal palm thatch will have to be replaced approx every 5-7 years. Sabal palm thatch is the longest lasting of the natural thatches.
Natural palm thatch umbrellas are custom built by Suncoast Tiki Huts. We build on site in most of Florida and for our out of state customers, we can ship DIY kits anywhere in the country. We construct each hut here on site, Pre-drill, label each piece, and take pictures of your hut. We then take it apart and package it up for shipping. We send complete step by step instructions with pictures and diagrams. All hardware is included. Call for details.
