African Reed Thatch Umbrella

Giving an unique African appearance. The reeds have been hand selected and bound together from the indigenous of South Africa to create beautiful multi-colored thatch panels. Eventually the color will change to a light greyish.  This is an Eco-friendly, replenish able resource. The panels when applied, give a straight lined, tiered look to your umbrella.

The center pole is a large 6″ pressure treated pole that is buried into the ground for stability.  The panels are applied in rows by clipping them to the metal frame to create a thick beautiful roof.  High winds will flow through the open frame and thatch creating no uplift.  Unlike canvas market umbrellas that will tear apart in high winds.  African thatch reed umbrellas are a great option for areas with high winds, rain or snow.  They also are approx 10 degrees cooler then market canvas umbrellas.
